Program History
Something Light Assassins is a newly established youth basketball program founded in 2025 by NBA player De’Anthony Melton. While the team itself is new, it’s built on years of experience, passion, and firsthand knowledge of what it takes to succeed — both in youth basketball and at the professional level.
Growing up in the AAU circuit, De’Anthony knows the value of quality coaching, structure, and mentorship in shaping young athletes. That vision is at the core of this program. The Assassins were created to offer youth a high-level basketball experience grounded in discipline, development, and opportunity — especially for players who are hungry to compete and grow.
We may be new, but we are backed by professional insight, strong leadership, and a mission to build something special from the ground up.
